Salman Khan Beats Rohit Shetty, Karan Johar To Emerge As The Most Popular Reality TV Show Host
With a number of reality series happening on Indian TV, a lot rests on how a celebrity host ups the wow factor of such programmes with their charisma and star power. Variety India asked its followers to vote for their favorite reality host. The verdict is loud and clear. Salman Khan is the undisputed favorite of reality show viewers and neutral audience. He towered over other names like Rohit Shetty, Karan Johar, Farah Khan - Riteish Deshmukh with a huge margin. Khan, who has been the host of of the reality show, “Bigg Boss” Season 4 (2010) has annihilated all the competition.

On Instagram, he got 79% of the votes dominating the poll like a true-blue mass superstar. In second place was “Khatron Ke Khiladi 15” host, Rohit Shetty who got 19% of the votes.
“Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa” hosts Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh and Karan Johar of “The Traitors” Season Two hardly gained any votes. The former got 2% votes while Karan Johar was at bottom of the rung with 1%.
On YouTube, Salman Khan got 64% of the votes while Rohit Shetty was at 19%. The newer hosts Karan Johar, Farah Khan - Riteish Deshmukh fared better. Karan Johar got 10% of the votes while Khan and Deshmukh got 8%.
Salman Khan remains the top favorite of reality show viewers over the years proving his unparalleled dominance. It is a fact that “Bigg Boss Weekend Ka Vaar” episodes get more numbers even when the weekdays are dull.
