‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’ Box Office Prediction: Ajay Devgn Eyes His Biggest Opener With Abhishek Pathak’s Crime-Thriller
This Friday marks the arrival of the highly anticipated “Drishyam: The Conclusion,” coinciding with the national holiday of Gandhi Jayanti (October 2). Positioned as the franchise finale, the crime thriller has received a fantastic response in advance bookings, selling close to 220,000 tickets on opening day.
With tremendous pre-sales business, the film now eyes becoming the biggest opener for lead actor Ajay Devgn. As per the analytics platform Recobee.AI, the crime thriller is expected to open at ₹42 crore at the ticket windows. While “Singham Again” holds the record for Devgn’s highest first-day grosser with ₹43.50 crore, “Drishyam: The Conclusion” is expected to surpass it comfortably due to the Gandhi Jayanti holiday, which will boost spot bookings in Tier-2 and Tier-3 centers.
The first part of "Drishyam," which released in 2015, earned ₹67.14 crore, while the second part, which hit the screens in 2022, ended its theatrical run at ₹239.67 crore.

With the upcoming part being the conclusion, it has the potential to become the highest grosser in the franchise and possibly Ajay Devgn’s career, which is currently held by “Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior” (₹279.59 crore).
Also starring Jaideep Ahlawat, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav, “Drishyam: The Conclusion” has an original story and will not be narratively connected to its Malayalam counterpart, headlined by Mohanlal.
The film is directed by Abhishek Pathak, who also helmed “Drishyam 2.” With the screenplay by Abhishek Pathak, Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh, it is bankrolled under the banners of Panorama Studios and Star Studio18. The songs are composed by Ravi Basrur, Rochak Kohli and Karma, with background score by Amar Mohile.
