James Gunn has recently dismissed an online speculation about the filming of the new “The Batman” movie. “The Batman 2,” directed by Matt Reeves, and starring Robert Pattinson is the sequel to the 2022 “The Batman.” As the second movie has taken time in production and development, there has been social media talk about the simultaneous filming of “The Batman 2” and “The Batman 3.”

Gunn took to social media where he was asked to confirm or deny the speculation around the two “Batman” movies being filmed back-to-back. He bluntly stated, “I can deny.” The speculations also come as many major Hollywood studios have shot two sequels simultaneously. Amongst examples, “The Matrix Reloaded” and “The Matrix Revolutions” were filmed back-to-back and the “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” and “At World’s End” were also shot simultaneously. “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame” were also shot in one production over one year.

Warner Bros. had opened up about the delayed release of “The Batman.” The movie is scheduled to hit the theatres on February 18, 2028 and is now in production in London. The sequel will also star Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan, plus Charles Dance, Brian Tyree Henry and Sebastian Koch in leading roles. The screenplay has been penned by director Matt Reeves, alongside Mattson Tomlin. Robert Pattinson’s first look from the sequel was released some time back, but the major plot details have been kept under the wraps.
