Isha Jajodia’s Collection Redefines Lace Couture Through the Lens of Female Power

Delhi-based designer Isha Jajodia defines her couture through intricate lace, bridging the gap between artistic runway designs and wearable fashion. Her journey from experimenting with sheer fabric to becoming an eminent couturier ensures a seamless connection between catwalk trends and real-world application.

For her fourth consecutive showcase at India Couture Week, Jajodia presented “Softly, Strong,” an artistic exploration of female resilience. The collection merges European romanticism and architectural influences with delicate, female-led craftsmanship. Intricate layers of Chantilly, corded, and guipure laces are elevated by meticulous pearl and Swarovski crystal embellishments to mirror a woman’s internal strength.

Corsets are an integral part of Jajodia’s creations - paired with gowns, skirts and even sarees. The floral capes provide the Victorian aesthetic. The color palette is inspired by summery hues of ivory and blush and gradually evolves into rich winter tales of scarlets and gold that are depicted with stunning sculptural detail. The designer believes that staying true to oneself and remaining authentic ensures a positive flow of energy that is reflected in the designs that emerge.

Jajodia began work on his collection in December 2025. “It has been a hectic few months focused on intense ideation, as I immersed myself in the world of swatches and fabrics, working late nights amidst the chaos of putting together a collection. There is nothing glamorous about fashion behind the scenes,” says the designer, whose collection is an ode to the strength of a woman who may appear fragile and elegant on the surface but is resilient and strong internally.
