‘Heart of the Beast’: Brad Pitt Showers Praise On Canine Co-star Odin

Brad Pitt’s upcoming movie, “Heart of the Beast” is coming to theatres on September 25. Paramount Pictures has released a small behind-the-scenes featurette where he speaks about working with his German Shepherd co-star. The film’s trailer gave audiences a glimpse of the high-stakes survival battle the duo engage in. Their chemistry is one of the most compelling aspects of the movie. The small video features the unexpected bond between Brad Pitt and his canine co-star Uber, the German Shepherd who plays Odin. Pitt reveals working with Uber was a special experience and was truly the star of the film. 

In “Heart of the Beast,” Special Forces officer James Belmont (Brad Pitt) finds himself stranded deep in the Alaskan wilderness after a devastating plane crash. He has only his dog, Odin, as company. Together, they have to fight the brutal natural elements to survive. 

In the video, Pitt describes the experience of working with Uber. He says that the team followed the canine's behavior and designed scenes accordingly. The actor and Uber will be seen in some truly emotional scenes, which will warm the heart of every dog lover. 

“Heart of the Beast” is directed by acclaimed filmmaker David Ayer. In the video, we can also see stunning glimpses of Alaska with its rivers, forests and lakes. The film also stars J.K. Simmons, Anna Lambe, the film is written by Cameron Alexander, and produced by Olivia Hamilton, Marty Bowen, David Ayer, and Brad Pitt, with Damien Chazelle, Scott Lumpkin, Cameron Alexander, Chris Long, Pete Chiappetta, Anthony Tittanegro, Andrew Lary, Sophie Cassidy, and Zack Conroy as executive producers.
