The Villain: Green Goblin (Norman Osborn)

Together, Venom and a towering giant Sandman kidnapped MJ and subjected Spider-Man to a brutal physical beatdown that almost ended him.

Fate: Harry Osborn died taking a fatal strike meant for Peter, Eddie Brock died when he threw himself into an exploding Goblin bomb to stay with the symbiote, while Flint Marko survived, floating away into the wind after Peter forgave him.

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)

The Villain: The Lizard (Dr. Curt Connors)

The Chaos Caused: Seeking to regrow his missing arm, brilliant geneticist Curt Connors tested a reptilian serum on himself and transformed into a ferocious beast. The Chaos Caused: Max Dillon was a forgotten Oscorp engineer who fell into a vat of electric eels and became a living power grid, blacking out New York City and almost frying Spidey alive. Meanwhile, a dying Harry Osborn injected spider venom, lost his mind and dropped Gwen Stacy inside a clock tower, causing the most soul-crushing tragedy in Spider-Man cinematic history.

Fate: Electro died from an energy overload, Harry Osborn survived and was locked up in Ravencroft Institute, and Rhino survived to smash through city streets in a mechanical armor suit.

Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

The Villain: The Vulture (Adrian Toomes)

Played by: Michael Keaton

The Chaos Caused: A blue-collar salvage boss turned high-tech arms dealer, Toomes built bird-like mechanical wings out of scavenged Chitauri alien tech. He gave Peter the ultimate high school nightmare by turning out to be his homecoming date's dad, threatening to murder Peter if he stepped out of line. He later buried a young Spidey under tons of collapsed warehouse concrete.

Fate: Survived. Saved by Spider-Man from his own exploding wingpack and sent to prison.

Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019)

The Villain: Mysterio (Quentin Beck)

The Chaos Caused: A disgruntled ex-Stark Industries employee who used holographic drone tech to fake elemental monsters and pose as a multiversal superhero. Beck manipulated Peter's grief over Tony Stark to steal high-tech orbital weapons systems, weaponized mind-bending optical illusions against him and ultimately exposed Spider-Man's real name to the entire world on broadcast news.

Fate: Died. Struck by a rogue bullet from one of his own misfiring weapon drones.
