Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’ Opens IMAX Advance Bookings in India From June 8

Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” is one of the most anticipated films from Hollywood biggies this year. Indian fans will be among the first in the world to book tickets for “The Odyssey,” which has been filmed using the brand-new Imax film technology. The Imax advance bookings for the film will begin on June 8, 2026, one week before its worldwide release on July 17, 2026, across all formats. “The Odyssey” is the first feature film to be shot entirely with Imax cameras.

Nolan, who won the Oscar for his 2023 film “Oppenheimer,” brings Homer’s epic about Odysseus, the heroic king of Ithaca, to the screen. “The Odyssey” is about Odysseus’ journey back home after the fall of Troy. Matt Damon plays Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, who embarks on a long journey home after the Trojan War. He is supported by a star-studded cast that includes Tom Holland as Telemachus and Anne Hathaway as Penelope. They are joined by Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron and Jon Bernthal.
Speaking about the opening of IMAX ticket bookings for “The Odyssey” in India, Denzil Dias, Vice President and Managing Director, Warner Bros. Discovery India, said, “The Odyssey is the first film in cinema history to be shot entirely on IMAX cameras, a milestone Christopher Nolan spent nearly 20 years working toward. On June 8, Nolan fans here will be able to book their favorite seats alongside fellow Christopher Nolan fans around the world for the first film in history made entirely on Imax cameras.”
