Box Office Weekend Winners: ‘The Paradise’ Becomes Nani’s Highest Grosser, ‘The Vvaan’ Opens To Strong Numbers, ‘Avengers Endgame: Encore’ Registers A Decent Opening
It was an eventful weekend at the box office, with new releases putting up strong numbers alongside the re-release of a Hollywood superhero blockbuster. Nani’s “The Paradise” opened to impressive numbers, while Sidharth Malhotra’s “The Vvaan” and the MCU’s “Avengers Endgame: Encore” added significantly to the collections at the box office collections.
‘The Paradise’ Becomes Nani’s Highest Grosser
Nani’s latest period massy actioner opened with strong numbers at the ticket windows. While first-day collections were phenomenal, it witnessed a noticeable dip over the next three days due to mixed word of mouth. However, with an extended opening-weekend total of ₹92.10 crore, it has already emerged as the lead star’s highest-grosser, surpassing “Dasara” (₹81.93 crore) and “Hit 3” (₹80.97 crore).
‘The Vvaan’ Witnesses An Upward Swing
Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia-starrer “The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest” is emerging as a box-office winner, driven by strong growth after its opening weekend. After earning ₹8 crore on its first day, the folklore flick witnessed an upward trend on its second and third day, raking in ₹11.25 crore and ₹14.35 crore, respectively, taking its total collections to ₹33.60 crore. While the film has enjoyed a good weekend, it needs to remain steady on the weekdays to be a box office ‘hit.’
