Box Office Occupancy Report: ‘Avengers Endgame: Encore’ Takes Bumper Opening, ‘The Vvaan’ Starts On A Decent Note
This Friday’s prominent Hindi release, “The Vvaan,” headlined by Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, has opened to a decent-to-good response in morning shows, with Bihar emerging as a key contributor. The song “Chhathi Maya” and the film’s depiction of Chhath Puja have helped it connect with audiences in the state, where the festival is celebrated on a large scale.
In other parts of the country, the film has received a reasonable response so far, but the regions that celebrate Chhath Puja are expected to boost the business of “The Vvaan.”
Sidharth’s last release, “Param Sundari,” opened at ₹7.25 crore, and “The Vvaan” could marginally surpass that figure, aided by the Anant Chaturdashi holiday in several parts of the country.
