Ramayana x MrBeast Collab Decoded: What His Big Indian Movie Crossover Means

The makers of “Ramayana” are looking beyond the traditional Bollywood playbook for their next big promotional move. On September 26, MrBeast is expected to join Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra for a special showcase linked to the film. Ravie Dubey is also expected to be part of the interaction, according to reports.

The collaboration is intriguing for one obvious reason: MrBeast does not simply have a large following, he has one of the biggest digital audiences in the world. As of September 25, his main YouTube channel has around 518 million subscribers and more than 140 billion views, while his Instagram following is close to 89.5 million.

That is precisely why his presence at a Ramayana event matters.

Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, became the first individual creator to cross 500 million YouTube subscribers in June 2026. His content is built around enormous challenges, competitions, stunts, giveaways and philanthropy, with his videos regularly reaching audiences in the hundreds of millions. In many ways, he has turned the YouTube video into a global entertainment event.

But MrBeast's reach is no longer restricted to YouTube. He has increasingly crossed into mainstream entertainment and pop culture as well. Most recently, he featured in Mariah Carey's music video for "Type Dangerous", another example of the world's biggest digital creator appearing alongside established names from traditional entertainment.

So why bring him into ‘Ramayana’?

The answer lies in where the film wants to go. ‘Ramayana’ is being presented as a cinematic epic with ambitions that extend well beyond the Indian market. Bringing in MrBeast gives the promotional campaign a direct connection to a huge international digital audience that may not necessarily follow Bollywood stars, Hindi cinema or Indian entertainment closely.

For the ‘Ramayana’ team, MrBeast brings something a conventional film promotion cannot easily replicate: access to an audience built around spectacle, curiosity and shareable entertainment. His presence could introduce Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and the world of ‘Ramayana’ to viewers who know MrBeast far better than they know the stars of Indian cinema.

That makes the September 26 showcase particularly interesting. It brings together two very different forms of global entertainment: a centuries-old Indian epic being reimagined as a large-scale cinematic spectacle and a modern digital creator whose videos routinely operate on an equally outsized scale.

The event is expected to feature MrBeast interacting with Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Nitesh Tiwari and Namit Malhotra, giving audiences a glimpse into the film and its international ambitions. Exactly what content will come out of the interaction remains unclear for now. There has been speculation about a possible MrBeast video or a larger digital collaboration, but a specific YouTube episode has not been officially confirmed.

What is clear is why the collaboration has attracted attention. MrBeast brings an audience of more than half a billion YouTube subscribers, a global creator identity and an established ability to turn unusual collaborations into major online moments.

For ‘Ramayana’, which is attempting to take a deeply Indian story to audiences across the world, that reach is likely to be the biggest attraction. And with Ranbir and Sai Pallavi joining MrBeast in the same room, the September 26 showcase has the ingredients for a promotional moment that could travel well beyond the usual Hindi-film watching audience.
