Nani Reacts to Mixed Response to ‘The Paradise’: ‘I’ve Received All Your Love and Equally Enjoyed Your Hilarious Trolls’

Nani has reacted to the audience and critical response to "The Paradise" following the film’s release in theatres on September, 24, 2026. The Srikanth Odela directorial has received a mixed response since its release, with Nani now acknowledging both the appreciation and criticism surrounding the film. Taking to X, the actor said he had gone through the reactions, responses and trolls directed at the film and thanked audiences for their engagement with it.

“I have seen all your reactions and responses. I’ve received all your love and equally enjoyed your hilarious trolls. I’m heartwarmed by the way audience have owned the film, and also learnt from the flaws that critics and reviewers have pointed out,” Nani wrote.

The actor also reflected on the effort that went into making "The Paradise", saying that the team had worked extensively to create what they intended as a distinct cinematic experience. “We have made #TheParadise with a lot of blood and sweat to give you a unique experience, and it’s all yours to celebrate or judge,” he added.

Nani concluded his note by thanking audiences for the anticipation surrounding the film and the response to his performance. “With the excitement you had for the film and the affection you showed on me, I am filled with gratitude,” he wrote.

"The Paradise" marks Nani’s second collaboration with director Srikanth Odela after their 2023 Telugu film "Dasara". The action drama also stars Raghav Juyal, Kayadu Lohar, Mohan Babu and Sonali Kulkarni. The film follows Jadal, played by Nani, against the backdrop of a marginalised community and its struggle with systemic oppression.

The response to the film has been divided since its theatrical release. While Nani’s performance, the action sequences and the film’s visual treatment have received appreciation from sections of the audience, criticism has also been directed at its screenplay, editing, pacing and second half. Several reviews have pointed to the film’s uneven narrative and questioned whether its ambitious themes receive enough emotional weight.

The film has, however, opened strongly at the box office. According to Sacnilk, "The Paradise" recorded ₹46.25 crore net in India and ₹74.90 crore worldwide on its opening day, with the Telugu version accounting for the bulk of its India collection. The film also registered Nani’s biggest opening day to date.

Nani’s latest comments come days after he had also addressed the legal action taken ahead of the film’s release. He clarified that the court order concerning targeted and defamatory content was not intended to restrict genuine audience reviews, reactions or criticism, with the actor saying the order was understood to concern AI-generated and bot-driven content.
