With no major Hindi release next week, “Bhooth Bangla” is set for a free run at the box office, though “Michael” ( pop icon Michael Jackson’s biopic) could offer stiff competition.
While it’s almost certain that the film will enter the 100-crore club in the domestic market, it will be a tough task for it to hit a double century globally.
“Bhooth Bangla” also features Paresh Rawal, Jisshu Sengupta, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu and Wamiqa Gabbi in key roles.
The film marks the reunion of Akshay Kumar with director Priyadarshan after “Hera Pheri,” “Bhagam Bhag,” “Bhool Bhulaiyaa,” “De Dana Dan” and “Khatta Meetha.”
Interestingly, the actor and director have already wrapped up the shooting of their upcoming venture, “Haiwaan.” The film also stars Saif Ali Khan in a lead role. It is the remake of Priyadarshan’s Malayalam film “Oppam,” featuring Mohanlal.
