‘Baahubali 3?’ Prabhas, Rana Daggubati And Anushka Shetty Hint At Part 3 in Documentary Clip

The story of “Baahubali” may not have ended. Lead actors of the popular Telugu film franchise -  Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty - have fueled speculation in that direction. A widely discussed clip from the documentary series “Bãhubali the Torch Bearer,” celebrating the 10th anniversary of the first film’s release, shows them discussing a potential continuation of the story.

In the video, which follows director S. S. Rajamouli’s praise for the crew’s hard work, the three actors talk about a secret that the world may not be aware of at the time of filming the docu-series. Daggubati begins with caution, unsure of whether he should even speak about this in front of a camera, and says, “I don’t know if I should say this publicly, but since Rajamouli and Shobu garu (producer Shobu Yarlagadda) aren’t here, I will just say what’s on my mind. The world may not be ready yet, but there will be Baahubali…” Right after, Prabhas can be seen flashing three fingers, but is soon interrupted by those flanking him before the room erupts into laughter. A following slate reads, “And the legacy continues!”.

So far, neither the filmmaker nor the producers have revealed plans to continue the “Baahubali” story, which ended with the second film, “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion,” in 2017. After “Baahubali: The Beginning” and its sequel, a combined recut version was released in theaters, “Baahubali: The Epic,” was released in theaters in October 2025. “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” ends with Mahendra Baahubali (Prabhas) being crowned the king of Mahishmati alongside his Queen, Avantika (Tamannaah Bhatia), and the death of Bhallaladeva (Rana Daggubati) after a fierce showdown.

“Bãhubali the Torch Bearer” is currently streaming on Netflix in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam.
