‘Avengers Endgame: Encore’ Sells 8,000+ Tickets in 24 Hours in India, Eyes Biggest Hollywood Re-Release Opening

“Avengers Endgame: Encore” has sold more than 8,000 tickets within 24 hours of advance bookings opening in India, according to the latest booking figures shared by the makers. The film is set to return to cinemas on September 25, seven years after the original “Avengers: Endgame” release.

Advance bookings opened on September 11 across a limited number of screens. The re-release will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, with screenings planned across IMAX, Marvel Studios Presented In Infinity Vision, 4DX, MX4D, SCREENX, Dolby Vision, HDR BARCO and ICE.

The early ticket sales come with “Avengers Endgame: Encore” positioned as more than a straight theatrical re-release. The presentation will include an exclusive look at “Avengers: Doomsday”, the next “Avengers” film, which is scheduled to release in cinemas on December 18, 2026.

The additional “Doomsday” material is also expected to be one of the key theatrical hooks for the re-release, coming ahead of the next chapter of the franchise. Marvel Studios has already begun building anticipation around “Avengers: Doomsday”, which is set to follow “Avengers: Endgame” as part of the studio’s ongoing theatrical slate.

The current advance sales are across limited screens, and “Avengers Endgame: Encore” is now targeting the biggest opening for a Hollywood re-release in India. The final opening will depend on the wider screen count and ticket sales closer to release.

The original “Avengers: Endgame”, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, concluded the Infinity Saga and followed the surviving Avengers as they attempted to reverse the consequences of Thanos’ snap, which had wiped out half of all life in the universe. The film starred Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson and others.

“Avengers Endgame: Encore” will release in Indian cinemas on September 25 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The re-release will also be presented in premium formats including IMAX, Marvel Studios Presented In Infinity Vision, 4DX, MX4D, SCREENX, Dolby Vision, HDR BARCO and ICE.
