Keerthy Suresh Reveals Writing Ambitions, Says She Is Not Ready to Produce Films Yet (EXCLUSIVE)
Keerthy Suresh reveals that she has been writing for the past couple of years and hopes her efforts will lead to something concrete in the near future. While there are no immediate plans to turn her writing into projects, she is enjoying putting pen to paper.
Though she is reluctant to share the genre of her stories, she says, “Nothing is coming soon, but good things may start. I don’t want to say that I am directing for the sake of it. But yes, I am writing. I have always been interested in writing. I don’t know if it’ll be for my own project.”

Asked whether she plans to venture into production, like actors Nithya Menen and Nayanthara, who have established their own production houses, Keerthy says, “At some point, maybe. Not right now. Not until I am at a point where I can afford to lose that kind of money (laughs).”

The actor is currently starring in “Akka”, which also features Radhika Apte. Set in the fictional South Indian city of Pernunu in the 1980s, the crime thriller revolves around a powerful matriarchal society. Keerthy plays Bhavani, the ruler of Pernunu, while Radhika portrays Rudra, a gangster from Mumbai who seeks to dismantle the existing matriarchal order. The two characters find themselves at loggerheads as their conflicting ambitions drive the narrative.
