The development marks another significant milestone for Akshay Oberoi, who has been working across films and streaming platforms. The actor made his Hindi film debut as a leading man with the 2010 coming-of-age drama “Isi Life Mein,” opposite Sandeepa Dhar. While the film did not make a significant impact at the box office, over the years, Oberoi carved out a niche for himself with films like “Gurgaon,” “Laal Rang,” and “Fighter,” as well as web shows including “Illegal” and “The Broken News.” The actor continues to build a diverse body of work across films and streaming platforms.
Oberoi’s Kannada debut, “Toxic,” is positioned as a global-scale Indian production with an emphasis on stylized action. The film introduces him to a wider audience in the South. The movie is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26, 2026.
