Bollywood Producers Rush to Block 2027 Release Dates — Expected Movie Lineup For Next Year

Even though 2026 is just four months underway, Bollywood has already started charting its course for 2027. In the last three days, three high-profile films have officially announced their 2027 release dates, while many films are already eyeing release next year, underscoring the growing urgency among producers to lock in release dates well in advance.

Kartik Aaryan's creature comedy “Naagzilla,” which was initially scheduled to release during Independence Day weekend this year, will now release in cinemas six months later on Valentine's Day weekend, February 12, 2027. The Mrighdeep Singh Lamba-directed film has apparently been delayed due to extensive VFX work required. Ranbir will also have “Ramayana Part 2” on Diwali 2027, while Vicky's mythological epic “Mahavatar” is expected to hit theaters on Christmas 2027. Ranveer Singh's zombie actioner, “Pralay,” which goes on floors in September this year, is also eyeing a late-2027 release.

Although it hasn't been announced yet, buzz is that Salman is targeting the Eid 2027 weekend for his action entertainer with Dil Raju and Vamshi Paidipally. The yet-untitled film also stars Nayanthara, Anil Kapoor and Aravind Swami and is scheduled to go on floors this week in Mumbai.

John Abraham will return with “Force 3” on March 19, 2027. Harshvardhan Rane is pitted against him this time in the action thriller, directed by Bhav Dhulia. Rane will also have Milap Zaveri's “Uniform” releasing next year.

Additionally, Sunny Deol's action film with “Kill” director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat is also expected in 2027.
