Vir Das To Take Global Tour To New York’s Radio City Music Hall: ‘Indian Comedy Belongs On These Stages’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Vir Das is taking his global stand-up tour “I Say We Run” to New York’s Radio City Music Hall on January 30, 2027, adding one of the city’s most recognizable entertainment venues to the tour’s international run.
The show follows the tour’s debut at London’s Royal Albert Hall and will come after Das’ performance at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena on October 18 as part of the Dubai Comedy Festival. The venue and festival currently list the Dubai date as part of the comedian’s international touring schedule.
For Das, Radio City marks another major venue on a touring journey that has included the Sydney Opera House, Carnegie Hall, the Esplanade in Singapore and the Royal Albert Hall. The comedian has built his international stand-up career around taking material rooted in Indian experiences to audiences across different markets.

He says, “There are certain venues that feel bigger than just the room they are in, and Radio City Music Hall is one of those places. I’ve walked into venues around the world carrying the feeling that Indian comedy belongs on these stages, and every time we do this, that feeling gets a little bigger.”
Das also reflected on the significance of following the Royal Albert Hall show with another iconic venue. “We started this journey at the Royal Albert Hall with ‘I Say We Run,’ and to now be taking the tour to Radio City Music Hall is an incredibly special milestone,” he said.
The comedian said the New York performance also represents what he sees as the ability of comedy to travel across borders.
“I’ve always believed that comedy can travel anywhere, and that audiences everywhere can find something familiar in our stories, our absurdities and our shared human experiences,” Das said.
Looking ahead to the January 30 performance, Das added, “New York has always been a special city for comedy, and Radio City is a dream venue.” He said he has performed in New York several times but described Radio City as “a different scale altogether.”
The Radio City Music Hall show will continue Das’ international run with “I Say We Run,” as he takes the tour to another landmark stage in January 2027.
