TRP Report: ‘Vasudha’ Stages Major Upset, Takes Numero Uno Spot From ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2’

In a major upset, over the past week, the Udaipur-based drama “Vasudha” ended the reign of Smriti Irani’s “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2”. The current track of “Vasudha” focuses on how Dev (Abhishek Sharma) and Vasudha (Priya Thakur) team up to expose the wrongdoings of Karishma Singh, played by Pratiksha Rai. The show has a devoted fan base in rural India, which is why the numbers are consistently high. The show's rating is 1.8, which is good in the present scenario given how Indians are glued to the IPL.

“Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2” has a rating of 1.7. The serial is now dominated by the upcoming wedding track of Mihir (Amar Upadhyay) and Tulsi (Smriti Irani). They are planning to marry in a hurry because he wants his daughter Pari (Shagun Sharma) to get married soon. Viewers are also seeing new developments with Rio’s (Akashdeep Saigal) mixed feelings for Karan (Hiten Tejwani) leading to a new track.

After “Vasudha,” another show from the same channel, “Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan,” finds a place in the top five. “Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan” retains a good hold on its ratings with people invested in the serial's high-voltage drama.

Sharad Kelkar and Niharika Chouksey’s “Tumm Se Tumm Tak,” and “Anupamaa” are in fifth place with the former ahead by a few micro points. Rupali Ganguly’s “Anupamaa” is followed by “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai,” both Rajan Shahi productions.
