‘The Vvaan’ Trailer: Sidharth Malhotra, Tamannaah Bhatia Enter a Forbidden Forest in Fantasy Adventure
By Sakshi Navare,
The trailer of "The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest", starring Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, is out. Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and written by Arunabh Kumar, the fantasy adventure expands on the world introduced in the film’s teaser, taking its characters into a forest governed by an old prohibition and a supernatural force.
Malhotra plays a city-bred man who finds himself drawn into the mystery surrounding his ancestral village and its forbidden forest. The trailer establishes the central conflict between his rational worldview and a belief system rooted in the forest’s long-standing folklore. Tamannaah Bhatia’s character is closely connected to this world, with their relationship forming an emotional thread through the larger mystery.
The film’s folklore has roots in the real-life Van Devi Temple near Bihta in Bihar. Kumar has previously revealed that he visited the temple and spoke to local people, priests and villagers about the legends associated with the site. According to the folklore shared by the writer, people traditionally avoided entering the forest after sunset because of unexplained occurrences. The filmmakers have used that local legend as a starting point for the fictional world of "The Vvaan".
