Sukumar To Reunite With Ram Charan After ‘Rangasthalam’ For Their Next Big-Screen Collaboration
Some collaborations leave a lasting impression, and the reunion of Sukumar and Ram Charan is certainly one to watch out for. The filmmaker and the Global Star are joining forces once again for a new Pan-India project, bringing back the team behind the much-loved Telugu blockbuster “Rangasthalam”.
Backed by Mythri Movie Makers, the upcoming film marks another major collaboration for the production house and reunites Sukumar with Ram Charan after their previous outing struck gold at the box office. Released in 2018, “Rangasthalam” earned widespread acclaim for its gripping storytelling, rooted setting and memorable performances, with Charan's portrayal of Chitti Babu becoming one of the standout performances of his career.
The announcement of their next collaboration has naturally sparked interest, especially given the impact their previous film had on audiences. While the makers are keeping the details of the new project under wraps, the film is expected to be mounted on a Pan-India scale.
For Sukumar, this will be his next directorial venture following the massive success of the “Pushpa” franchise, which further established his reach beyond Telugu cinema. Ram Charan, meanwhile, is gearing up for another big-screen outing after the global success of “RRR”, which introduced him to an even wider international audience.
The project is set to get underway with a traditional pooja ceremony on the film's set today, marking the first formal step towards bringing the much-anticipated collaboration to life.
With Sukumar's storytelling and Ram Charan's screen presence coming together once again, expectations are bound to be high. More details about the film, including its title, cast and release plans, are awaited.
