Ramayana Part 1 Trailer Cleared by CBFC With U Certificate Ahead of July 24 Launch
The first part of Nitesh Tiwari's "Ramayana" is one of the most anticipated releases of 2026. The trailer launch is slated to happen on July 24, when the trailer for "Ramayana Part 1" will be shown to fans for the first time. As the makers are gearing up for the grand event, the Central Board Of Film Certification has cleared the trailer with a ‘U’ (Universal) certificate. This means that the video is fit to be shown to viewers of all age groups.
The CBFC listing also suggests that the makers have prepared two versions of the trailer. The first version, namely the 3D version, runs for 4 minutes and 15 seconds, and the other version, namely the theatrical version, runs for 4 minutes.

Previously, the makers had shared a glimpse into the movie. The first look of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, alongside a poster of Ranbir's Ram and Yash's Ravana were released.
The announcement of the trailer launch happened via the official handle of the makers. "From Bharat to the world, the Ramayana trailer premieres worldwide on 24th July, 2026."
The team had also released a statement, stating, "For thousands of years, the Ramayana has inspired generations through its timeless ideals of dharma, maryada, courage and compassion. Now, it begins a new journey. Now, it begins a new journey. One of Bharat's greatest civilisation epics, presented to the world, at a scale never attempted before in Indian cinema."

Produced on a reported budget of ₹4,000 crore, Ramayana features an impressive ensemble cast. Ranbir Kapoor stars as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi portrays Sita, and Yash essays the role of Ravana. The film also includes Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, alongside Rakul Preet Singh, Kunal Kapoor, Lara Dutta, Arun Govil, Sheeba Chaddha, and Addinath M Kothare in key roles.
