Prominent South Indian actor Harish Uthaman, who makes his Hindi debut with “Ramayana” as Vibhishana, lauds Ranbir Kapoor for his portrayal of Lord Rama in the film. Sharing an anecdote from his scene with Kapoor, he praised his acting mettle and dialogue delivery.
“There is this scene where Vibhishana joins Lord Rama's side, there is this very intense scene where Lord Hanuman, Lord Lakshman and their troops are present. There’s this really good exchange of words between Lord Rama and Vibhishana. The way Ranbir performed in that scene, the way he emotes and says those words, automatically gets to you,” says Uthaman.

Revealing that Kapoor’s performance made him emotional, Harish adds, “I will always remember that moment and that’s something I told Ranbir once the scene was shot. It's a beautiful and magical moment when you feel that from the co-actor. It helps one perform better. I still remember in that scene, I got a little teary-eyed when he said his lines, when Rama accepts the Vibhishana in his camp. That moment when he welcomed him was very beautiful.”
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, “Ramayana” also stars Yash, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Vivek Oberoi, Ravie Dubey, Rakul Preet Singh, Lara Dutta and Kajal Aggarwal, among others.
