‘Ramayana’: Harish Uthaman Lauds Yash’s Transformation Into Ravana: ‘His Command Is Unbelievable’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Harish Uthaman, who plays the key character of Vibhishana, brother of Ravana (Yash) in “Ramayana,” shares his admiration for the “KGF” actor and hails his powerful transformation as the demonic king of Lanka.
“We have all seen Yash in earlier films and we know his aura and his screen presence. But this was the first time I met Yash on the sets of ‘Ramayana.’ Every single time I have met him since, he comes across as such a kind human being. But when he performs as Ravan, he becomes a mighty Ravan, is what I would say. The way he performs, his costumes, and the way he speaks — the command he has is unbelievable. It is so good to see him.”

The actor also shares an interesting anecdote. “In 2015-16, I was supposed to be in a film with Yash but it didn't happen. With me being a part of ‘Ramayana’ and as his brother, I am really happy. So, I missed the opportunity to work with him in 2015-16, but I am glad it happened almost after 10 years. And I am part of ‘Ramayana,’ and I am excited.” Uthaman further calls him a considerate co-star, as he says, “Yash has always been very kind and with the scenes I have worked with Yash, I think he is an amazing co-actor who is extremely considerate. And he has a discussion, or he always talks to the actors who are with him in a scene. So that is very helpful.”
Harish is currently busy with multiple projects, including the Netflix series “Legacy,” which is headlined by R Madhavan and headed by Karthik Subbaraj. He completed a film with Fahadh Faasil, which is directed by Prem Kumar of “96” and “Meiyazhagan.” Apart from that, he has Pa. Ranjith’s “Vettuvam,” “Vrushakarma,” starring Naga Chaitanya, and the Malayalam magnum opus “Kathanar,” featuring Jayasurya and Anushka Shetty.
