An ensemble poster, featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman has been unveiled ahead of ‘Ramayana’’s November release. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, “Ramayana” will release in India and worldwide in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
While there were debates about the release date of the film, with some reports stating that the release date might have been preponed to November 5, the makers confirm the same. The caption confirms the release date of the film to be November 5. It also mentions, “On the auspicious occasion of Navratri, we celebrate the beginning of a new era. Yeh Ram ke Yug ka Aarambh hai… Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana Part 1: In cinemas WORLDWIDE, across all premium formats, from 5th November."

The poster captures Lord Rama, Sita and Lakshman in the foreground, while Ravana towers over them. The elaborate sets, costumes and detailing offer a glimpse into the world being brought to life for the two-part epic. Previously, posters of Arun Govil as King Dasharath, Lara Dutta as Queen Kaikeyi and Sheeba Chadha as Manthara were also released. Another poster, elaborating the bond between King Dasharath and Rama was unveiled as well.

Opening up about playing Lord Rama, Kapoor said, “Lord Rama's biggest strength is not his bow, it is his Kshama (forgiving nature) - his ability to forgive. Ye role nahi hai. It's not ki mujhe ek film offer hui hai aur role exciting hai. Ye ek zimmedaari hai (This is not a role. It's not as if I was offered a film and the role is exciting. It's a responsibility).”
