A television advertisement of “Ramayana: Rise of a Legend” has been released. It shows never-seen-before glimpses into the world of Namit Malhotra and Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming movie, the first part of their two part epic “Ramayana.” It features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Yash as Ravana and Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra.

The 30-second clip opens with the narration, “The time when men walked among Gods, an evil rose among darkness - “Ravana.” Then Yash as Ravana states, “For me, every head will bound."

The narrator continues, “Men have one hope. Not a God, but man - Rama.” Ranbir Kapoor as Rama says, “If I don’t stop him, the world will fall. This is just the beginning.” With its ominous introduction to Ravana and Rama’s resolute declaration, the TV spot sets up the epic confrontation at the heart of the film while leaving viewers wanting a closer look at the larger cinematic world.

Opening up about playing Lord Rama in a behind-the-scenes video, Kapoor said, “Lord Rama's biggest strength is not his bow, it is his Kshama (forgiving nature) - his ability to forgive. Ye role nahi hai. It's not ki mujhe ek film offer hui hai aur role exciting hai. Ye ek zimmedaari hai (This is not a role. It's not as if I was offered a film and the role is exciting. It's a responsibility)."

In other news, the second trailer of the film could arrive as early as October 15, with reports suggesting that a promotional event is being planned in Bengaluru. One of the biggest points of interest for fans is whether the second trailer will offer a more substantial glimpse of Yash as Ravana. The actor’s portrayal of the antagonist has been a major talking point around the film, and speculation suggests that the new cut could put his character more prominently in the spotlight.
