One of Katseye’s members, Manon Bannerman recently went on a hiatus citing health reasons but her temporary departure remains a point of speculation amongst fans. Die-hard admirers of the group have been waiting for the members, or Manon herself to share updates on whether she would return to the stage soon. While the parties remain tightlipped, the other Katseye members, sans Sophia, recently attended the premiere of their documentary “Katseye: Wild Hearts” in Los Angeles. Lara, Daniela, Megan and Yoonchae, shared their thoughts on their new project, including speculations around Manon’s long hiatus.

When Variety asked Lara about Manon’s comeback plans, she said, “It’s not our place to speak on that. But she’s in this film and it’s so awesome to see her in it, as she’s such an important and beautiful part of our journey and our story.” While Lara seemingly did not have a concrete answer about Manon’s future plans involving Katseye, during another interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lara also shared, “She will forever be an integral part of the journey of Katseye. Of course, she’s included in the film and it’s so lovely. We are so happy to see it. The fans will be so excited to see it.”

The comments have done little to quell speculation among fans, many of whom continue to hope that Manon will eventually return to group activities. Ever since HYBE and Geffen Records announced that the singer would be stepping away from group activities to focus on her health, supporters have been closely monitoring the members' interviews and social media for any indication of her comeback. However, neither the agency nor Manon has shared a timeline for her return.

While taking the temporary break, Manon had opened up on concentrating on being “healthy" and "taking care of myself." She had added, "Sometimes things unfold in ways we don't fully control, but I'm trusting the bigger picture." Katseye had stated that the decision was made following having "open and thoughtful conversations together." In a statement on WeVerse shared by their label, HYBE and Geffen Records, the group also mentioned, “We fully support this decision. Katseye remains committed to showing up for one another and for the fans who mean everything to us."
