Gal Gadot has addressed the possibility of returning as Wonder Woman in the revamped DC Universe. During an interview with ScreenRant, Gadot shared if she is returning to the DCU, to which the star confirmed that she hasn’t had “any specific conversations” with filmmaker James Gunn or the DC Studios. However, she recalled the last conversation that she was a part of, stating that the makers “came to the studio, and they really wanted to develop the third one.”

While Gadot is unsure about her return, she shared a message for anyone who takes up the character of Wonder Woman next. She added, “This is such an incredible character that so many of us care about so much, so whoever it's going to be to portray her, I wish for her that she enjoys this amazing ride with this amazing character. And I'm just grateful that I was granted the opportunity to wear her boots and celebrate this incredible character and everything she stands for."

Gadot’s latest comments are the first official update on her potential “Wonder Woman” return to the DCU in three years. Since her two consecutive cameos, neither Gadot nor James Gunn had directly addressed the character’s future, aside from Gunn briefly confirming on social media that a new actor had not been cast as Wonder Woman.

Many DCU enthusiasts also believed that Gadot could return with another character, as Jason Momoa made his debut as Lobo in “Supergirl.” However, the same hasn’t been confirmed by the makers or Gadot. On the professional front, she is currently gearing up for the release of “The Runner.”
