Tom Holland Reveals He Already Has a ‘Clear Vision’ And Plan For The Next Spider-Man
Tom Holland may be swinging back into theaters as Peter Parker in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”, but the groundwork is already being laid for who will wear the mask next. The actor has long expressed his desire to help hand off the baton, and he recently confirmed on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast that a concrete succession strategy is already taking shape behind the scenes.
"There’s a whole plan that we have been working on, I would say, since we finished *Spider-Man: No Way Home*," Holland shared, noting that discussions have been underway for five years. "It’s laid out. It’s gonna change for sure, but I have a really clear vision to the passing on of the baton, and I think it’s really exciting."

It remains unclear whether the next hero to step up will be Miles Morales or another fan-favorite character. However, while promoting “Brand New Day”, Holland told the AP that he is eager to "bring Miles Morales to the screen" and mentor "the lucky young kid who gets that job."
With Sony's animated “Spider-Verse” trilogy concluding next summer with “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse”, the timing could pave the way for a live-action Miles Morales to share the screen with Holland's Peter Parker.
Holland also echoed these sentiments in a chat with “Empire” earlier this year:
"For whoever’s next, whether that is a Miles Morales or a Spider-Gwen or a Spider-Woman or something like that, I would love to be a part of setting up the next chapter," Holland said. "Whatever that looks like, I don’t know. But if I could do what [Robert Downey Jr.] did for me, then I would be so content swinging off into the sunset."
