Sidharth Malhotra’s latest film, “The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest,” has drawn footfalls in cinema halls since its release. After a solid opening weekend, the folklore movie remained steady on weekdays. Despite facing stiff competition from Hollywood re-release “Avengers Endgame: Encore” and Nani and Kayadu Lohar’s “The Paradise,” it paved the way at the ticket windows.

The film currently stands at ₹49.10 crore and is expected to surpass “Param Sundari” (₹51.31 crore) today, making it Malhotra’s fifth-highest-grossing film of all time.

Sidharth Malhotra’s Highest Grosser
‘Ek Villain’: ₹105.76 crore
‘Brothers’: ₹82.49 crore
‘Kapoor & Sons’: ₹73.22 crore
‘Student of the Year’: ₹70 crore
‘Param Sundari’: ₹51.31 crore
'The Vvaan’: ₹49.10 crore*
‘Marjaavaan’: ₹48.04 crore

The film has the potential to cross the ₹60 crore mark in its theatrical run, but will face a solid screen crunch in the upcoming weekend, with the arrival of Ajay Devgn-starrer “Drishyam: The Conclusion,” which is the final part of the franchise.

As “The Vvaan” looks set to emerge as a box office success, the Bihar market has contributed a significant share of its collections. The film’s depiction of Chhath Puja and the song “Chhathi Maiya” have helped it connect with audiences in the state, where the festival is celebrated on a large scale.

Produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor and Arunabh Kumar under their production banners, Balaji Telefilms Ltd and TVF Motion Pictures, in association with 11:11 Productions, the film, directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, also stars Tamannaah Bhatia, Maniesh Paul, Sunil Grover, Shweta Tiwari and Anup Soni in key roles.
