‘The Paradise’ Box Office Update: Nani-Starrer Witnesses A Massive 57% Dip on Day 2
After a record-breaking opening day, Nani’s “The Paradise” saw a sharp drop on Day 2 at the box office. The action thriller raked in ₹14.90 crore on its release day (September 25) and now stands at ₹61.15 crore (gross ₹72.50). While the original Telugu-language film, which collected ₹13.10 crore with an average occupancy of 46%, was the primary contributor, the Tamil and Hindi-dubbed versions added ₹1.50 crore and ₹0.30 crore, with both registering an average occupancy of 18%.
In the international markets, it grossed ₹26 crore, taking its global collections to ₹98.50 crore. As the film is set to enter the ₹100 crore club today, it needs to show a tremendous upward swing today and tomorrow to cover the lost ground and reach a respectable opening-weekend total.

It is expected to cross “Hit 3” (₹119.48 crore) and “Dasara” (₹118.50 crore) today, and become Nani’s highest-grosser of all time. With no major releases lined up in the upcoming week in the Telugu-speaking areas, it has a chance to hold well in its home states.
The film also stars Kayadu Lohar, Sonali Kulkarni, Mohan Babu and Raghav Juyal in key roles. Anirudh Ravichander composed the music, while Naveen Nooli and CH Sai have handled editing and cinematography, respectively. “The Paradise” revolves around Jadal, played by Nani, against the backdrop of a marginalized community in 1980s Secunderabad. The dialogues are penned by Thota Srinivas, Madhava Murthy Bojanapu, Arjuna Paturi, Vamshi Krishna Pinnika, Manupati Karunakar and Vasanth Masadi.
Bankrolled by Sudhakar Cherukuri under Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas, the film has also been released in Spanish and English dubbed versions in international markets.
