Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Russell Crowe are starring in the sci-fi action thriller “Bluefly.” Directed by Nimród Antal, “Bluefly” is written by David Frigerio, William Eubank and Carlyle Eubank.

The movie is set deep in Congo, as a grieving UN translator is pulled onto a black-ops mission to recover a downed aircraft that isn't supposed to exist. A Special Operations team pushes upriver through militia-held territory and the recovery becomes a descent. The closer they get to the craft, the clearer it becomes that they were never meant to bring it home.

The announcement comes on the heels of another major international project for Chopra Jonas, who was recently announced opposite Orlando Bloom in the upcoming survival thriller “Reset.” She also starred in “The Bluff” recently and “Heads of State” in 2025, alongside Idris Elba and John Cena. Apart from that, she will next be seen in S.S. Rajamouli's highly anticipated action-adventure epic “Varanasi,” slated for release on April 7, 2027. It also stars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran in key roles.

Priyanka recently took to social media to announce the project. Captioning the post as “Onto the next,” she shared a screengrab of the announcement for her fans. Nick Jonas, Huma Qureshi, Sophie Choudry and more congratulated her on her new project. The release date for the movie hasn’t been announced yet. However, as per a report by Deadline, Highland Film Group is handling worldwide rights, launching sales at the upcoming TIFF market. Principal photography is set to begin later this year on Australia’s Gold Coast.
