Raqueeb further explained, “I have written five more songs for the movie. I refused to write this but he told me to just fit in Hindi words, which he would put in the meter of the song. Now, I found out that I have been credited as a lyricist for the Hindi version. I am planning to reach out to them.” While Indian film music is known for songs that are laden with subtle eroticism, he said he understands the sentiments of people on social media. “I know it is a bit excessive,” he added.
“KD: The Devil,” is a masala action movie with Dhruva Sarja in the lead. It also stars Shilpa Shetty, Reeshma Nanaiah and Sanjay Dutt in main roles. This song is filmed on Nora and Sanjay in a rural setting. Singer and composer Armaan Malik commented on X that the song came on his timeline and he had to replay it to believe what he was hearing. He said this was a new low for commercial songwriting in the country. Social media too has been critical in its review of the song saying the lyrics seem worse than pornographic content.
