‘Jana Nayagan’: H. Vinoth Confirms Release of Unseen Scenes of Vijay
Vijay’s “Jana Nayagan” has made close to Rs 139 crore (nett) in India. The film released on July 23 across cinema halls after 12 cuts and modifications suggested by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). At the success event of the film, director H. Vinoth shares that the six deleted scenes of the actor are being worked on. Fans will be able to see them by next week in cinema halls. Vinoth further said that the unseen footage has comedy, action and emotional scenes.

Vinoth also told fans that they had to trim quite a few scenes to maintain the run-time of the movie. As of now, “Jana Nayagan,” has a run-time of three hours three minutes. Vinoth also said that his team is considering sharing these extra scenes with fans on YouTube and other social media platforms. He confirmed that his team is planning a roll-out of these scenes one by one. It seems the scenes are now being edited and they will be sent to the producers.
They do not want to release all the content at the same time so as to sustain the audiences’ interest in the film weeks after the theatrical release. This is the Tamil superstar's last film. Vijay has assumed office as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
“Jana Nayagan,” has got mixed reviews from critics. The star cast includes Mamitha Baiju, Priyamani, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol and Prakash Raj.
