Over the years, several prominent actors have been linked to the character, with names ranging from Chiyaan Vikram to Raghava Lawrence and more. Raghava Lawrence’s First Look as Karna

For those unaware, Raghava Lawrence is playing the role of “Karna” in director Ramesh Varma’s “Mahaveer Karna.” The makers released the first look of the actor portraying the mythological character. As per previous reports, the film is reportedly being mounted on a budget of around Rs 150 crore and is set to release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada.

Chiyaan Vikram, Salman Khan and More

Previously, Chiyaan Vikram was announced to be playing Karna in RS Vimal’s “Mahavir Karna.” The teaser for the film was also released, but the project did not move forward eventually. It was reportedly being made on a budget of Rs 300 crore. Other exciting casting decisions with regards to Karna include names like Salman Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Suriya. At different points, the three were reported to be playing Karna in a two-part cinematic adaptation, being helmed by Rayeksh Omprakash Mehra. Suriya was supposed to make his Hindi cinema debut with the film, however, the same did not come to fruition. While the director noted that the adaptation is in pause currently, the last actor reported to be playing the role was Salman Khan.
