Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have welcomed their second child, a daughter. They shared the news via social media with a foot imprint of the newborn. Padukone has finished filming her portions for Allu Arjun-led “Raaka” before taking off for her pregnancy break. The birth of their second child, like their firstborn (Dua), coincidentally is in September. While Dua was born on Sep. 8, 2024, Padukone and Singh’s second child arrived today (Sep. 19).

With the birth of the little one, Padukone and Singh now are proud parents to two daughters; much like actors like Hema Malini, Kushboo Sundar, Anil Kapoor, Gurmeet Chaudhary and Anushka Ranjan.

The newborn arrives on the auspicious occasion of Radha Ashtami and fans of the couple have left comments asking them to name their daughter after the divine figure with some already christening her as Radhika in comments. Incidentally, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone sought the blessings of Lord Ganesha a day ago.

Mallika Dua commented that having two daughters is the biggest blessing of life. Neha Dhupia, Sara Arjun and others also left hearts for the baby.

Singh has had a successful run with the “Dhurandhar” films and he resumes work soon with “Pralay” under production. The film will also feature Kalyani Priyadarshan. The team had plans to film in Australia but sets were created in Mumbai so that Ranveer Singh could be close to Deepika Padukone as her delivery date approached.

While their first pregnancy was a subject of intense media scrutiny, this time the couple seemed a lot more relaxed. Deepika Padukone has been busy with her skin care brand and production house along with being a hands-on mom to Dua.
