Ansh Duggal stars in the lead role in “Nakhrewaalii” alongside Pragathi Srivasthava, Akash Makhija and Gopal Datt. The film hit the cinemas on October 30 and marks his theatrical debut. Ahead of its release, Duggal joined Variety India for a chat about launching his film career. Interestingly, the Rahul Shanklya directorial was shot before “Don’t Be Shy,” which ended up becoming his first project, but release delays caused a 2-year wait.
Meanwhile, 2025 gave audiences the blockbuster success of “Saiyaara,” led by first-timers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. Calling Panday’s debut a “magical start,” Duggal says, “I am happy for him. I feel he deserves all of it. He was great in the film and it's good that we have younger actors coming up because it's just good for the business in general. I'm really looking forward to whatever he's doing. I think he's had a wonderful start and I wish him the best.”

On whether he would like to have a career like Singh, he adds, “He's had a great trajectory. I feel he's done all kinds of films, and I also see myself doing all kinds of films. I really feel that I want to do romance, comedy. I want to dance, sing, you know, and I feel I would definitely carve something like that for myself in my own way.”
