The makers unveiled the name for the third installment of Ajay Devgn’s “Drishyam” franchise. The movie is now called “Drishyam The Conclusion” and the release date is October 2, 2026.

The crime thriller franchise is bringing back the story of Vijay Salgaonkar for the final chapter. Taking to social media, the makers also dropped an intriguing poster, which shows half of Devgn’s face and his intense stare. “Har insaan ka nazariya alag hota hai… mere liye meri family hi sab kuch hai. #DrishyamTheConclusion in cinemas 2nd October,” the post reads.

Directed by Abhishek Pathak, “Drishyam The Conclusion” also stars Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj. The screenplay is written by Abhishek Pathak, Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh.

“Drishyam” follows a family whose lives are thrown into turmoil after the sudden disappearance of a policewoman’s son. Blaming Vijay’s family, she vows to make them pay. With his loved ones at risk, Vijay goes to extraordinary lengths to protect them and keep them safe.

The Drishyam films were originally in the Malayalam language, which were further remade in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

Opening up about the sequels to the Hindi version of “Drishyam,” Devgn had once mentioned during a 2022 interview, “When a film is made, we don’t decide that a sequel is going to be made. A sequel is only made when the film is successful and is a big hit with the audience. Firstly, the audience needs to accept the film, then it is decided whether a sequel is going to be made at all or not.
