Veer Pahariya’s ‘Prem Keetanu’ to Clash With Ajay Devgn’s ‘Drishyam 3’ on October 2
Veer Pahariya’s “Prem Keetanu” is set to release in theatres worldwide on October 2, 2026, putting the upcoming film directly against Ajay Devgn’s “Drishyam 3” at the box office. The date also coincides with Gandhi Jayanti.
Pahariya leads the cast alongside Aparshakti Khurana and Aafiya Sayed, with Rakesh Bedi and Nikhil Vijay also featuring in the film. The makers have described the project as a story aimed at connecting with younger audiences while also tapping into the nostalgia of older generations.
The film marks another theatrical outing for Pahariya following his debut in “Sky Force.” It also gives the actor a different space to explore, moving away from the military action genre of his debut toward a story centred on relationships, youth and contemporary life.

“Drishyam 3,” meanwhile, is scheduled to arrive on October 2, 2026, with Ajay Devgn returning as Vijay Salgaonkar. The third installment is directed by Abhishek Pathak, who also helmed “Drishyam 2,” and brings back key franchise actors including Tabu and Shriya Saran.
The film is the next chapter of the Hindi “Drishyam” franchise, following the 2015 original and 2022’s “Drishyam 2.” The October 2 date was announced by Devgn and the makers in December 2025.
The clash gives audiences two markedly different theatrical propositions for the Gandhi Jayanti weekend. “Drishyam 3” arrives with the advantage of an established franchise and a returning ensemble, while “Prem Keetanu” will be attempting to build a fresh theatrical property around a younger cast and a contemporary story.
