Mohit Suri’s Ahaan Panday-Aneet Padda Film to Go on Floors in Second Week of October (EXCLUSIVE)

Mohit Suri is set to reunite with Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, and Variety India has learned that the filmmaker’s next directorial venture will go on floors in the second week of October. The project marks the second collaboration between Suri and the "Saiyaara" actors and is backed by Yash Raj Films.

Variety India had earlier reported that "Satranga" was being considered as the working title for the film. The title was not locked at the time, with the name registered with T-Series, and the makers have yet to officially confirm it as the final title.

The film was officially announced by YRF in April, with the studio describing it as an intense romance. Akshaye Widhani, who produced "Saiyaara", is backing the project, which is targeting a 2027 worldwide theatrical release.

Now, the publication has learned that Suri and his team will begin principal photography in the second week of October. The makers are keeping the story under wraps, although the film has previously been described as an unconventional romance, with action also forming part of the narrative.

The project brings Suri back with Ahaan and Aneet after "Saiyaara," which marked Ahaan’s acting debut and Aneet’s first leading role. The new film will reunite the pair as leads, but is not being positioned as a continuation of their "Saiyaara" story.

With the shoot now locked to begin in October, further details around the title, plot and release plans are expected to emerge as the production moves into principal photography.
