Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay's "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2" will air its final episode on October 20. The second season of the blockbuster show had a great run on Indian TV from July 29, 2025. It was in the top five of the TRP charts getting points above 1.5. Audiences had hoped that the series would continue till end of 2026, as the track had picked up momentum with the re-entry of Amar Upadhyay as Mihir. He had been away from the serial for many months due to his other commitments.

The current track is about how Karan (Hiten Tejwani) decides to divorce Nandini (Gauri Pradhan) after finding out that she killed Parth. Tulsi tells everyone that this was one of the hardest decisions of Nandini's life.

Audiences are also seeing how Anupam Kapadia (Aman Verma) and Mihir get closer as they discuss business and family. In all likelihood, the show will end after the marriage of Sid (Harshit Joshi) and Samaira (Aanchal Soni). Mukta Dhond's show "Apsara" will take over the 10.30 pm slot. It is a supernatural fantasy thriller with a connection to the story of Amrit Manthan. The cast includes Samiksha Jaiswal, Anushka Merchande, Paras Kalnawat, Adaa Khan, Avika Gor and Mona Vasu.

"Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2" served a lot of drama in second season. The makers brought back actors like Aman Verma and Akashdeep Saigal. Makers again highlighted the issue of domestic violence and marital rape with the Karan-Nandini-Parth track. Smriti Irani made a good comeback to TV with the show.
