Prime Video is bringing the saga of India’s armed resistance against British rule to screens on September 11, 2026 with Nikkhil Advani’s upcoming series, “The Revolutionaries”. Helmed and created by Advani along with producers Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani under Emmay Entertainment, the Hindi period show adapts Sanjeev Sanyal’s acclaimed book, “Revolutionaries: The Other Story Of How India Won Its Freedom”. Set in the decades after the Revolt of 1857, the narrative dives into secret underground networks, bold anti-colonial conspiracies, and intense personal sacrifices made by courageous figures determined to dismantle the empire.

The first-look of the characters offers a glimpse into four key historical rebels at the heart of this fight. Bhuvan Bam steps into the shoes of the charismatic master of disguise Rash Behari Bose, tracking his journey from an ambitious plotter aiming for top colonial targets to a strategic mastermind plotting a full-scale regime change.

Rohit Saraf portrays Sachindra Nath Sanyal, an aspiring young nationalist from a supportive family who finds a guide in Bose, transforming through trials and key bonds into a natural leader.

Pratibha Ranta plays the fierce Pratibha Lahiri, an intellectually sharp lover of anti-British literature who defies all expectations to prove her crucial place within the rebellion.

Meanwhile, Gurfateh Pirzada portrays Bagha Jatin, a brave fighter driven by personal loss who recognizes the absolute necessity of armed strength, teaming up with Bose to pull off a dangerous weapons heist. Together, this ensemble captures the gritty spirit of a movement that shaped the nation's destiny.

By combining high-stakes action with deeply human character arcs, the series aims to offer a fitting tribute to the unsung heroes of India's independence struggle. With its powerhouse cast and compelling historical backdrop, this period drama promises to be a gripping exploration of bravery, camaraderie and the ultimate sacrifice.
