Following the massive high of the opening weekend box office success with "Awarapan 2", Emraan Hashmi fans have another huge reason to celebrate as the actor prepares to lead the upcoming feature "Gunmaaster G9". The filmmakers have officially locked the worldwide theatrical release date for November 27, 2026. Setting up a high-stakes box office clash, the high-octane action thriller is slated to go head-to-head on the same day with Sooraj Barjatya's upcoming family entertainer, "Yeh Prem Mol Liya". Beyond the promise of high-octane thrills and intense clash, the biggest buzz surrounding this project is the historic creative reunion taking place behind the scenes. The film brings actor Emraan Hashmi, director Aditya Datt, and music composer Himesh Reshammiya back together after nearly two decades.

The upcoming action thriller stars Emraan Hashmi in the lead role of Agent Eshwar, also known as Agent G9. Designed as a stylish nod to classic Indian spy cinema, the story pays homage to Mithun Chakraborty's iconic 1979 secret agent classic Surakksha. The narrative promises a balanced blend of pulse-pounding spectacle, intense romance, and deep emotional stakes. Joining Hashmi in prominent roles are Genelia D’Souza and Aparshakti Khurana, rounding out an intriguing cast that brings fresh chemistry to the spy drama genre.
Production has been moving at full throttle across multiple picturesque and dynamic locations. Filming took place across the vibrant streets of Mumbai, which hosted an extensive, edge-of-your-seat car chase sequence, as well as scenic backdrops in Haridwar and Mussoorie.
