Denis Villeneuve’s awaited third instalment of the “Dune” books by Frank Herbert, with the story largely based on “Dune: Messiah”, brings forth a 17-year time jump in “Dune: Part Three”. As Paul Atreides seizes power of the Imperium after a ruthless war, he must face the brutal consequences of his own actions.

In the new teaser, Irulan (Florence Pugh), who is the wife of the prophet, asks a covered presence about the path ahead. As it warns her of a nearing ‘end,’ viewers are faced with the appearance of Edric, the Space Guild Navigator. It foreshadows the character’s meetings with Paul’s foes in the film as planned in the books. Timothée Chalamet portrays the Emperor, Paul Muad'Dib, who lies in the midst of a possible shakedown from his own allies and looming threats from the outside. Major desert battles are showcased in the new teaser, with the return of Chani (Zendaya), Paul’s former lover.

As tickets go live for IMAX 70mm, which will screen from December 14 and 15, four days ahead of the global premiere, it has been revealed that 71 minutes of IMAX exclusive expanded aspect ratio footage will feature in “Dune: Part Three”.

With the conclusion of the “Dune” franchise with the third film, a lot weighs on the shoulders of the makers and the cast, which includes Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Isaach De Bankolé, Charlotte Rampling, Anya Taylor-Joy, Robert Pattinson, and Javier Bardem, alongside newcomers Nakoa-Wolf Momoa and Ida Brooke.
