‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’ Box Office: Every Record Broken By Ajay Devgn-Starrer on Opening Day

Ajay Devgn-starrer “Drishyam: The Conclusion” benefited from the national holiday of Gandhi Jayanti (October 2) and enjoyed a record-breaking opening day at the box office by collecting ₹66.75 crore. As the film gears up for a phenomenal run in the domestic market, here’s a look at the milestones achieved by the crime-drama thriller.

Ajay Devgn’s Highest Opener

The film became Ajay Devgn’s biggest opener of all time, overtaking “Singham Again” (₹43.50 crore), “Singham Returns” (₹32.10 crore) and “Golmaal Again” (₹30.14 crore) by a huge margin.

Biggest Opener Of The Franchise

The film surpassed “Drishyam 2” (₹15.38 crore) to become the biggest opener of the franchise. In fact, the second part's opening weekend collections (₹64.14 crore) are lower than the first day of the final installment. On the other hand, the lifetime business of “Drishyam” (₹67.14 crore) is slightly higher than the finale's first-day business.

Second-Highest Hindi Opener Of The Year

The film registered the second-biggest Hindi opener of 2026 after Ranveer Singh’s “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” (₹145.55 crore, including paid previews). It surpassed the Hindi version of “Toxic” (₹55 crore) and Sunny Deol’s “Border 2” (₹30 crore) to achieve this feat.

Fourth-Biggest Indian Opener Of 2026

“Drishyam: The Conclusion” surpassed films like Prabhas’s “The Raja Saab” (₹62.90 crore, including paid previews) and Thalapathy Vijay’s “Jana Nayagan” (₹42.70 crore) to become the fourth-biggest Indian opener of the year after “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” (₹145.55 crore, including paid previews), “Toxic” (₹101.10 crore) and Ram Charan’s “Peddi” (₹69.50 crore, including paid previews).

12th-Highest Indian Opener of All Time (Excluding Paid Previews)

The film ranked 12th among the highest Indian openers of all time after “Pushpa 2: The Rule” (₹164.25 crore), “RRR” (₹133 crore), “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” (₹121 crore), “KGF: Chapter 2” (₹116 crore), “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” (₹102.55 crore), “Toxic” (₹101.10 crore), “Kalki 2898 AD” (₹95.30 crore), “Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire” (₹90.70 crore), “Adipurush” (₹86.75 crore), “Devara: Part 1” (₹82.50 crore) and “Jawan” (₹75 crore).

Third-Highest Hindi Opener Of All Time (Excluding Paid Previews)

It is now the third-biggest Hindi opener of all time, trailing only “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” (₹99.10 crore) and the Hindi-dubbed version of “Pushpa 2” (₹70.30 crore), when considering collections from the Hindi version alone, whether original or dubbed. Shah Rukh Khan’s “Jawan” contributed ₹65.50 crore from its original Hindi version to its ₹75 crore total first-day business, giving the film the fourth spot on the list.
