After a phenomenal response to advance bookings, followed by strong morning shows, Ajay Devgn-starrer “Drishyam: The Conclusion” registered a massive opening at the box office. The crime thriller collected ₹66.75 crore on its first day, emerging as the second-biggest Hindi opener of 2026 after Ranveer Singh-starrer “Dhurandhar: The Revenge,” which collected ₹145.55 crore, including paid previews.

Despite not being a conventional commercial potboiler, the film generated tremendous buzz among cinegoers, driven by the franchise’s popularity, its positioning as the concluding chapter and Devgn’s star power.

With positive word-of-mouth, the film is now expected to continue its strong run at the ticket windows. Since there are no big Hindi releases in the coming week, it is expected to retain the maximum chunk of screens to ensure its dominance in the domestic market.

While the collections are primarily driven by Maharashtra, with Gujarat and Mumbai circuits dominating the business, the NCR belt is also recording extraordinary numbers.

Analysing the current trend, “Drishyam: The Conclusion” is expected to cross the ₹175 crore mark over its opening weekend, potentially putting it on course for blockbuster status, given its budget and marketing costs.

Directed by Abhishek Pathak, who also helmed “Drishyam 2,” the movie also features Jaideep Ahlawat, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Ishita Dutta, Kamlesh Sawant, Saurabh Shukla, Samvedna Suwalka and Mrunal Jadhav, among others in prominent roles.

The songs of the film are composed by Ravi Basrur, Rochak Kohli and  Karma, with background score by Amar Mohile. The editing and cinematography departments are handled by Sandeep Francis and Sudhir K. Chaudhary, respectively.

It is bankrolled by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, Ajit Andhare and Alok Jain under their banners Panorama Studios and Star Studio18.
