‘Dhurandhar 2’ First Day Box Office: Smashes Records With ₹80.52 Net Hindi Opening

After setting an all-time highest premiere record, Aditya Dhar's “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” has set another historic benchmark at the Indian box office.

The Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan and Arjun Rampal starrer action spectacle has recorded an extraordinary ₹80.52 crore net in Hindi on its opening day — emerging as the highest Day 1 grosser of all time in the Hindi language, surpassing the previous benchmarks set by Allu Arjun's “Pushpa 2: The Rule” (₹70.30 crore net) and Shah Rukh Khan's “Jawan” (₹65.50 crore net) in the Hindi market.

Across all languages, “Dhurandhar 2” has earned ₹83.95 crore net and ₹102.38 crore gross on the first day, establishing itself as the biggest Bollywood opener ever. Including ₹44 crore net from the premiere screenings, the film's total collection now stands at ₹127.95 crore net in India. Overseas contributed an additional ₹64 crore on the first day, taking its worldwide gross total to ₹218.38 crore.

The patriotic spy action thriller is emerging as the box office juggernaut, delivering exceptional numbers across India. However, the bulk of its revenue comes from the Hindi version alone, while its South Indian regional dubbing is heavily underperforming. On Thursday, the film earned ₹2.10 crore in Telugu and ₹1.15 crore in Tamil, while Malayalam and Kannada versions failed to touch even the ₹10 lakh mark. In total, the Southern dubbed version contributed just ₹3.43 crore net on the first day.

Territory-wise, “Dhurandhar 2” performed strongest in Maharashtra, where it collected ₹20.06 crore net. This was followed by Delhi-NCR (₹10.97 crore), Karnataka (₹9 crore), Gujarat (₹7.44 crore), and Uttar Pradesh (₹4.66 crore). Other top-performing territories include Telangana (₹3.68 crore), Rajasthan (₹3.58 crore), West Bengal (₹3.12 crore), Madhya Pradesh (₹3.01 crore), and Punjab (₹2.65 crore net).
