Cara Delevingne on Taylor Swift’s ‘Patient Zero’ Video and Her Music Plans: ‘The Journey Is Only Going to Get Better’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Cara Delevingne is currently enjoying her time with fellow L'Oréal Paris ambassadors at the Le Défilé 2026 show at Paris Fashion Week. The actor-musician recently released her 12-track debut album, “Not Normal,” on September 25.
Interestingly, Delevingne also starred in Taylor Swift’s music video “Patient Zero.” Alongside Swift, Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell, she makes a surprise appearance as one of Farrell’s love interests.

Meanwhile, Cara is leaving no stone unturned in taking her own music to new heights. When asked about her plans post the release of “Patient Zero,” she reveals, “So many plans. My album came out a few days ago as well, and I’m just really excited for people to hear it. It’s been a labor of love, and it has felt like such a long time coming. It’s something I’ve done my entire life, but I appreciate the craft so much that I wanted to make sure I was in the right place to be able to do it. So yes, more music, hopefully. I think that journey is only going to change, get better and grow. If not, I’ll just keep going.”
She adds, “Venturing into music has taught me something I didn’t really have before, which is how important having a voice is. I think I was always very good at being whatever someone wanted me to be, so that’s been a really great lesson. No matter what you do and no matter how people perceive you, everyone has insecurities. The more we talk about them, the more they can start to feel less overwhelming.”
Delevingne didn’t hesitate to elaborate on her inspirations in the acting and musical industries. “I’m obsessed with all of the spokespeople at L’Oréal Paris. Viola Davis, Jane Fonda, Helen Mirren, Gillian Anderson… all of them. Those women are just incredible for what they stand for and what they’ve been able to achieve. Jane Fonda’s activism is incredible. Every time I listen to Viola Davis speak, I cry. In terms of music, I really look up to Stevie Nicks. There are so many incredible women out there, it’s hard to pick just a few. I often feel that way about women I meet too,” she says.
Is Delevingne close to the other ambassadors? She reveals, “I really love the group of women. This is an incredible way to bring together spokespeople who are inspiring and fun. I think this represents so much more than just a show. It represents joy and strength, and celebrates being a woman and what that means in all its various forms. It’s just beautiful. It’s always so much fun, and I think that’s the best part of doing a show like this, celebrating each other and having a good time.”

She explains why walking in a show of this stature feels significant to her. “I don’t really walk anymore, so it feels like something I really love and miss in a way. But it also matters. It feels like you’re walking for something for other women. Also, doing it for a massive live audience in Paris, where people can come and watch, feels really amazing. And all the things that the brand stands for - Women of Worth, Stand Up Against Street Harassment- make it feel even more meaningful. It feels like every step you take, you’re walking towards something greater, which I love,” she shares.
