The Indian box office witnessed a big weekend, with Ajay Devgn’s “Drishyam: The Conclusion” breaking records at the ticket windows. Meanwhile, holdover releases like “The Vvaan” and “The Paradise” continued their steady run.

‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’: A Record-Breaker

Ajay Devgn’s crime thriller drama “Drishyam: The Conclusion” shattered several records at the ticket windows, emerging as one of the biggest weekends in the Hindi film industry. The Abhishek Pathak directorial collected ₹176.50 crore and is set to enter the ₹200 crore club on its fourth day (October 5).

‘The Vvaan’ and ‘The Paradise’ Hold Steady

Despite the juggernaut that is “Drishyam: The Conclusion,” holdover releases like “The Vvaan” and “The Paradise” held steady in their second weekend. The Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah-starrer folklore film collected ₹8.50 crore, taking its total to ₹62.10 crore, while Nani’s movie earned ₹6.90 crore and now stands at ₹115.10 crore.

Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Baththa’ Starts On A Fair Note

Vijay Sethupathi-starrer comedy-drama “Baththa,” which released with low buzz among cinegoers along with limited screens and shows, collected ₹10.05 crore in its four-day extended weekend.

Sundeep Kishan’s ‘Sigma’ and Fahadh Faasil’s ‘Don’t Trouble The Trouble’ Disappoint

Thalapathy Vijay’s son, Jason Sanjay’s directorial debut, “Sigma,” featuring Sundeep Kishan, had a disappointing opening weekend. The film earned ₹5.35 crore at the domestic box office. Fahadh Faasil’s slice-of-life family drama, “Don’t Trouble The Trouble,” also struggled to draw audiences to cinema halls, collecting a mere ₹3.04 crore.

‘Doraemon: Castle of the Undersea Devil’ Begins Strong

The animated science-fantasy film, which enjoys a huge fanbase in India, opened on a strong note, collecting ₹7.10 crore in its first weekend. The film recorded an impressive average occupancy of 60%, despite limited shows across the country.
