‘418’ Hindi Trailer: Prashanth Neel-Presented Horror Thriller Sets October 23 Release, Expands To Four Languages
By Sakshi Navare,
The makers of "418" have unveiled the Hindi trailer of the upcoming horror thriller, giving the film a fresh push ahead of its October 23 theatrical release. Presented by filmmaker Prashanth Neel and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film is now set for a multilingual release in Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and Tamil.
The trailer builds its horror around a seemingly ordinary number that conceals a much darker secret. At the centre of the story is Room No. 418, located inside a building that has remained sealed for 15 years. When the door is finally opened, the characters are confronted with a series of unexplained occurrences that blur the line between what can be understood and what cannot.
Rather than giving away the mystery at the heart of the film, the trailer establishes an atmosphere of unease around the abandoned property and the forces apparently trapped within it. The film has been positioned as a horror thriller that explores the intersection of science, superstition and an anomaly that neither can fully explain.

"418" marks the feature directorial debut of Kirtan Nadagouda, who has also written the film. Nadagouda has previously worked with Prashanth Neel, making the filmmaker’s involvement as presenter particularly significant to the project. Neel is not directing the film but has come on board to present and back Nadagouda’s debut.
The cast includes Chaithra Achar, Ramesh Indira, Surya Raj Veerabathini, Charan Lakkaraju, Preethi Pagadala and Shashank Patil in key roles. The film also features Shree Vaishnav, Kota Jayaram, Goparaju Vijay and several others. Dinesh Divakaran is the director of photography, Venky GG has composed the music, Akul Avinash has edited the film and Anupam C is credited as sound designer.
For Mythri Movie Makers, "418" also marks a move into horror, with the production house backing a relatively contained genre film rather than one of its larger-scale commercial spectacles. The Hindi trailer is part of the film’s wider push beyond its Telugu origins, with the Tamil and Kannada versions also being rolled out alongside the Hindi campaign.
The film had previously been scheduled for release in September, but the makers subsequently postponed it as they worked towards a wider multilingual theatrical rollout. The October 23 date has now been officially locked.
With the trailer keeping the larger mystery around Room No. 418 deliberately under wraps, the film’s theatrical proposition rests on what lies behind the sealed door and whether Nadagouda can turn that central premise into a sustained horror experience. "418" releases worldwide on October 23 in Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and Tamil.
